The Carlsberg Golf Classic comes with a rich history, started 18 years ago in Malaysia. It is currently the most sought-after amateur golf tournament in Malaysia. The success of the golf series was replicated in Singapore 10 years ago and with the inclusion of Vietnam last year, the golf series is now regional.

After the success of the inaugural 2010 series, the Carlsberg Golf Classic Vietnam 2011 is going nationwide, with more than 7 events to be held in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City.
 




 
The VCCI Golf Challenge is a corporate-centric golf platform where the main aim of this series is to promote the mission of VCCI, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is a business group representing the SMEs in Vietnam. With more than 7,000 members, it is also the first base of contact for any foreign companies that want to do business in Vietnam, given the vast resources that it possesses.

The VCCI Golf Challenge (VGC) first started in 2005, as a single golf event celebrating Entrepreneur Day. Due the growing interest in golf and seeing the usefulness it's brought to its members, the VGC is now an annual series, with more than 4 events played across the country.

With this revamp, it has plans to attract not just local business people but also serves as a social and friendly platform for other business chambers in the region.
